What Scots words do you use or have you heard people using? What part of the country do they say it in? Can you think of a sentence or two showing how it might be used or an idea of how it is pronounced in that area?
Can you give any more examples of place-names which contain the words in our Glossary of Scots Place-name Elements (in the Database section of the website)? Do you have a photograph of the place that you can upload for everyone to see? Do you know how the name is pronounced in the local area?
